Reach Art Visual Highlights Women’s Role in Cultural Change and Global Narratives at Tbilisi Conference
Reach Art Visual participated in a regional conference on inclusive peace and security, held in Tbilisi on December 2–3. The discussions focused on feminist foreign policy and its role in amplifying the voices of the most vulnerable groups, promoting sustainable peace, and enhancing global security.
The conference kicked-off with an ambassadorial panel that examined the role of women in foreign policy during times of crisis and uncertainty. Speakers included women ambassadors from Denmark, France, the Netherlands, and Norway, as well as the managing director of the Max Planck Foundation, who shared insights into their countries’ efforts to promote gender equality within foreign policy institutions and development agendas.
A dedicated session co-organized by Reach Art Visual explored the intersection of art, diplomacy, and cultural narratives. Moderated by Natia Ejoshvili, with key speakers Thea Goguadze and Mariam Shergelashvili, the discussion highlighted the invaluable contributions of Georgian women—artists, gallerists, and curators—in reshaping the global perception of Georgian culture and promoting its rich heritage on the international stage.
The conference was organized by the Civil Council on Defense and Security, in collaboration with the Max Planck Foundation for International Peace and the Rule of Law, and supported by the German Federal Foreign Office.
